Cleanse: Day 4

Day 4.... an exciting day for two people deprived of all carbohydrates for 3 days. Today Birdman and I decided that it was time to add in the grains and seeds with our array of fruits and veggies of course.

For breakfast I had the usually fruit! This just always makes me feel good about myself!

Then lunch came... finally I placed that rice in my mouth and savored its texture... actually I don't think the rice was completely done (a little crunchy.. kept getting stuck in my teeth haha!) but I didn't care because for crying out loud it was a carb! That afternoon I will admit.. I was a basket case:) I had so much hyper energy that I probably should have been either medicated or sent on a very long run to some distant country. I felt unbelievably great and definitely myself again... just from a tiny helping of rice. Of course I had a salad too and some other cooked veggies. but really?

Due the the crazy weather outside I didn't have to work... unfortunately I didn't want to do my homework either. No its not senioritis... ask Birdman about that because he was starting to have a severe case of that. I had to even sit him down and have the talk with him... jeez laweez...

Dinner came around and Birdman and I came up with the first recipe in our eventual cookbook. It was called Birdman and Giggles Quinoa Surprise... haha and yes everything in our cookbook is going to start with Birdmand and Giggles. We sauted ( I hate the word stir-fry and refuse to use it when referring to cooking) potatoes, peppers, peas, and carrots at the same time as preparing the Quinoa rice which I still forget how to pronounce (even though birdman told me it like 10 times). The sauce for the dish was our own concoction... ketchup, wine, parsley, cayenne pepper, paprika, cumin, maple syrup, mustard...... There may be more but I can't give it all away (actually I just can't remember). Sounds terrible.. I know! But it was actually delicious! We both had two helpings to this stuff! At the same time we made a batch of Birdmans Bay Bread.

I don't feel like I'm even cleansing anymore.... I'm starting to get more in tune with my body's needs and understanding it. I have had no cravings for sweets, bread, or anything of that sort. I feel very good about myself and hope to bring what I've learned with me for the days to come:)

Peace and Love,

Giggles
